The Virtual Sports Injury Clinic was created by Mike Walden. It has expended since its early days to include contributions from several individuals in differing professions, all involved in the treatment of sports injuries:
- Mike Walden (Managing Director) is a qualified Sports Injury Therapist with a degree in Physical
Education, Sports Science and Physics. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate
in Education and has been a teacher of sports massage and sports science.
Mike competed at National level in the Decathlon and is an experienced
Hill Walker. He is also creator of www.sportsinjuryclinic.net.
- Heidi Mills, Sports Rehabilitator. Heidi has a degree in sports rehabilitation and has been working in sports therapy, sports rehabilitation and fitness training.
- Tom Dekkers holds a Bachelors of Science in Physiology ( 1st Class Honors) and a Masters of Science (MSc) in Physiotherapy. Tom has played football at county, provincial and international level at underage (under 15-18).
Contributors
- Richard Villar is one of the top Orthopaedic Surgeons in the World. As former Surgeon to the British Army Special Air Service Regiment he has practiced medicine in some of the most remote and challenging environments.
- John Williams is an Osteopath and a Sports Injury Therapist. John trained at the College of Osteopaths in London, is a registered Osteopath with the General Osteopathic Council and a member of the British Osteopathic Association. He also trained as a Sports Therapist and has taught Sports Therapy for Premier Training & Development, one of the UK's top training establishments. John is a keen sportsman who played soccer, ran marathons and competed successfully at national level in Karate
- Matt Ellis - Matt is a gifted artist, illustrator and animator who has helped create from scratch many of the outstanding illustrations. More of his work can be seen at www.mattellisanimation.co.uk.
