hi all.
i'm a keen martial arts practicioner and have a problem with my ankle (as you probably figured from the thread title).
theres one kick that requires the use of the top of the foot to strike the taget, much like kicking a football. every time i kick with my right foot i get an unpleasant pain around the ankle joint. it seems to originate from the inside of the ankle joint towards the top of the foot (apologies for poor description).
after my training session i usually ice my foot using the aircast cryocuff which really helps get the swelling down. it doesn't tend to swell up too much, but enough that you can see it when you compare it to the other ankle. i can run, jump and do all other movements fine and i have pretty much full range of motion in my ankle.
was just wondering if anyone knew what this is? or have experienced it before?
any help would be greatly appreciated
