Symptoms - when descending only, pain builds up in all the toes of one foot or the other, sometimes both at the same time. It reaches a point where I just have to stop and take off the boot to relieve the pain. Five minute break and then I can carry on for another 30 minutes or so when the cycle will start all over again.

This has been happening with three pairs of leather boots I've had over the last 20 years (I'm 67). Trial shoes worn in the summer are OK.

It's not cramp as that's muscle tightening and the toes would curl. It's not Morton's Neuroma - I had that 35 years ago and know about that, and this is not a nerve type pain. And it's not boots too small - I wouldn't make that mistake 3 boots in a row.

Doctors and podiarist are at a loss ! Anyone any ideas or have similar problem.
