Ive recently been told that I have the above conditions, probably the worst symptom is the lower back stiffening up if I stay sat down for 20-30 minutes. Im up & down at work like a yo yo !!

The symptoms have only come on in the last few months, and pretty quickly too. Is it possible that this condition has been caused by one single incident, (I dropped my motorcycle 5 months ago, and I rather stupidly tried to hold it up for a little while before giving up, there were no sudden stabbing pains etc. ). My real concern is that Ive got some underlying long term problem in my back that Ive had for some time and its something that Im going to have get used to.

Thanks in advance folks.

Hi

Lordosis is a postural problem and so usually is a long-term condition that increases as time goes on if not corrected. The compression is probably caused, at least in part, by the lordosis. Unless you felt pain at the time or soon after the accident, I would think that they are not related. At least not directly.

Treatment for this kind of problem is usually a rehab program and postural re-education to help improve the posture. Other possible treatments may include chiropractic or surgery.

Don't just put up with it. There are options available to you.

Good luck!
