i have been bothered by this injury for 10-13 years now, and i cant take it anymore. the injury used to only bother me every once in a while, but since i had a baby three months ago, it hasnt gone away. i used the virtual injury guy, and the pain i pointed to on him in the front left clavical area and the left rear shoulder blade it came up with one same injury. Inpingement. at first my doctor suspected rotator cuff, but the MRI ruled that out, and they fould chronic tendinidis. but from what the ortho-pedic surgeon told me, i am discribing pain that is too much compared to the injury. the doctor also tried an MRI and x-rays of my neck, but nothing to validate my pain level. the pain i feel is most excrusiating in the front around my collar bone and runs through my body into the back shoulder blade. i can feel the inflammation in the front mostly by touching the area comparing it to the unaffected side. it is worse at night. and it is sharp sometimes but always a dull nagging ache that is so painful my quality of living is almost unbearable. moving it quickly is not an option, lifting things is out of the question. the only pain medication that works is, tramadol 50 mg in combination with at home toradol injections. i was on lortab 5 mg for months but it didnt work as long or as well as the injections and tramadol. i am going back to the ortho-pedic surgeon Friday and would really like them to find and fix this mystery injury. inpingement really fits my description of the pain, but so many others do as well. please help me, i am tired of living and depending on pain meds, that i have to take too many of to work anyway, and i just feel hopeless and helpless. thank you for any help in advance.

well i went to the doctor today, i do have impingement and tendinitis and he is testing me for nerve damage as well. medication is working great for me, for now. why isnt anyone responding to this post?

this is the latest news.....impingement syndrome, chronic tendinitis, arthitis, muscle spasms in neck.....no nerve damage to left arm or neck, but they found carpol tunnel in the right hand...this sucks, i have to have one good arm....i have been doing physical therapy and it really helps...some days i am pain free, i am now taking less than half the amount of pain medication as before. physical therapy is awesome. i had a cat scan done on my chest which showed a granuloma in my chest right at the spot in my collar bone that just kills me every now and then. they are watching the granuloma to see if it is growing in size but it kinda sucks bcuz i know it is causing me pain and they wont remove it yet. but other than that all is well and i am feeling much better. i have a lot of faith in my physiv\cal therapists they are truely working magic for me.

hey there

in 1999 I suffered a shoulder injury too. first started by picking up a leaf blower and it felt like electricity ran up the length of my arm. there was some numbness and still numbness in the forearm but what can't be explained to this day is the pain in the joint left side. fatiuge in the joint and shoulder blade hypersensitivity in the shoulder blade, to the touch, aches in the neck and shoulder it self. MRI cat scans bone scans have shown that everything is normal but the pain is still there the fatiuge is still there and the only relief I got after the first three yrs was Dilaudid it helps ease the pain but not he fatiuge or the ache. I had a nerve conductivity test done and that showed two problem areas but then another MRI was aordered which once again showed everything to be normal. I was once very active in sports and have since had a hard time doing anything. is this similar to you at all if so what again was your diagnosis and what is helping you.. thanks
