no pain, but a real concern

I have noticed there is a somewhat large lump in the scrotum along side the testicel thta i believe result from too much straining dunring someting soemtime. there is no pain associated but i do notice that i cna apply pressure and the lump will move up into the lower body and stay for a short period of time, tehn it will descend again. any ideas before i go se the doc?
