I play amateur soccer with my local team and have done for about 10 years. I am in my mid 20's. I was diagnosed with osteitis pubis and received a sympheseal steroid injection to eradicate inflammation. After a rest period and 2 months of physio rehab, I was back running pain-free.
The good progress continued until resuming contact with the football. Gradual discomfort in the upper left thigh evolved into a lingering dull aching after training.
I returned to the doctor and received another injection. I am now told that if this treatment fails this time, a common course of action is to cut the troublesome tendon which is hanging from the bone. I am worried about this possibility.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? Does anyone have any useful tips/information?
