Hi guys, im new here, jsut searched sports injury forums in the hope for help.

I play tennis, but during paly, almost instantly the inside of my arm starts to hurt, mainly below the inside of my elbow. When I push it with with other hand, i can feel it everywhere below elbow. Ive had this pain for a long time, back when i used to play tennis when i was 16(now 23)

Ive only recently picked the racket up agian and its instant pain, unbarable.

I had an MRI scan and the doctor noticed a bit of access cartilidge/ligament/skin on the inside of my elbow, under the skin obv.

He said that is the why i mgetting pain as it irritates the rest of my arm. But if i push my inside of my elbow thers no pain, only mainly down the lower inside forearm

Doesnt anyone have idea what it is, and whether it is what he says. I play with an open stance, and hit very hard/competative tennis

Thanks All

Hi,

Do you get any pain either shooting down your lower arm, or in the fingers, or numbness/tingling?

The reason I say this is the possibility of ulnar nerve entrapment. Extra tissue may be impinging on the nerve, causing pain and muscle spasm. Even if you don't get any sensations in the hand, this could still be the case.

I would recommend visiting a physio/sports therapist for some massage and stretching exercises and ultrasound. Also, if you haven't already, get your grip size, racket size and grip checked, as problems with this can often cause elbow pain in tennis.
