I was wondering if anyone has ever had a burning and scraping (like when you scrape your elbow on concrete) sensation on the inside of their elbow? This has recently started for me and it only bothers me when I am at rest and there is no visible scrape on my elbow. Even though it is tender to the touch, it doesn't hurt to use my arm but the sensations make me feel uncomfortable.

Hi,
This sounds quite unusual and I've not come across anything similar. My only thought is that a burning sensation is often due to nerve impingement. This may be within the elbow or may be higher, maybe the shoulder joint.
Does this pain radiate at all? towards the hand and fingers? do you get any tingling/numbness in the arm at all? What is your posture like?

I know it is strange but I don't have any pain that radiates at all and no tingling or numbness. I have taken some celebrex the last couple of days and it is helping some but not much.

Try this test:
Tap gently with two fingers over the area between the bony parts at the side and the back of your elbow. Move up and down over that area, tapping rapidly. Any reproduction of symptoms or pain, tingling etc is a positive result.
This test is used to predict a possible ulnar nerve entrapment.

Well, as strange as this may sound, the sensation is now gone. I have tried the "tapping" and couldn't reproduce the feeling. I guess I should be lucky that the sensation is gone and that it never caused me any pain.
