I hurt my left elbow 3 months ago. I am right handed. It's tennis elbow and I don't like it. I am in physical therapy and the ultrasound works.....until I use the arm. My physical therapist told me to use a wrist brace, which I did but it didn't work. I have also tried the tennis elbow band. I am not sure what else I can do to get this to heal. I am young and I am not sure if I want a cortizone shot. I know it will help but my physical therapist doesn't like them because it breaks up the collagen in the joint. Any suggestions from anyone?
Thanks!!
Hi,
What exercises does the physio have you doing for your problem? When you say they put you in a wrist splint, do you know what type it was?
You might want to see if applying ice to the area helps it to calm down a bit, some people find that strengthening the bicep muscles can help to improve tennis elbow as well.
Have you considered trying a tennis elbow clasp? This helps by off-loading the muscles which are irritated and can provide some relief. An example of such a clasp is here: http://www.return2fitness.co.uk/Supports_And_Braces/Elbow_Supports/epicondylitis-clasp and you can view more information on tennis elbow here:

I hope this is of some help, good luck and let us know how you get on!
