I feel almost three weeks ago and landed on my left knee. The knee immediatly looked deformed and swollen. Is it possible that the knee cap was dislocated, but not to the side, but up above the normal position of the patela? By the time I got to the ER it didnt look as deformed and that big hump was gone.The xrays showed no fractures. I have been on crutches with a splint now for almost three weeks. I just saw a ortho dr yesterday and had a MRI. I will get the results Thurs. Everything I have read talks about a dislocation going off to either side, but mine seemed to go up? My knee is still swollen and I can hardly bend it and is very painful. Thank you for any help.
