I am a very active 44 yr old male, have had lower lumbar fusion with hardware, had hardware removed and for 4 years now have had constant severe lower back pain and left hip/SI joint feels like it is on fire, I have had discograms, MRI ,
and have been under care of pain control DR. have had countless injections in hip, lower back, tail bone, facet joints. and no relief....... I live on pain medications from the time I get up until I "Finally go to sleep" I am unable to even lay on my left side in bed due to sever hip/SI pain. i continue to stay active outdoors, fishing hunting, etc. until pain gets me down to where I am stuck in bed for a few days before I can get moblie again. Any suggestions from anyone............ Please help.

Hi

I am going to suggest some manual therapy. By this I mean a combination of soft tissue work and an exercise program.

Obviously I can't really say without assessing you biut If all this surgery etc hasn't help I would go down an alternative route.

I suspect, following surgery you have a multitude of muscle imbalances which cause faulty biomechanics and leads to other, more widespread problems.
