When I was playing football (soccer) I got an injury between the outer ankle and the left side of my achilles on my left foot. The incident that caused the injury was a hard shot that hit my toes and bent the foot back in a position similar to when you lay on your stumach (plantar flection?), and i couldn't walk for an hour.

This around two months ago, and I'm still struggling, especially when i have to make sudden movements, walking on my toes and I it is impossible for me to bend the foot backwards like in the position I described earlier, which i have to do when I for example kick the ball. This is making it impossible to participate in physical activity, and everytime it seems to get better, I take one shot and the pain is there again.

Hope someone can help me with this, and i'm sorry if my English is unreadable.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Did you recieve any treatment on your injury? Or visit a Dr or sports injury professional?

I think by the sound of it that you did some damage to a tendon (possibly peroneal tendon) when you kicked the ball.

Without treatment this kind of injury can persist due to a loss of motion and muscle tension and possibly persistent inflammation and excess scar tissue.

I would visit a sports injury clinic for some massage, ultrasound and a stretching/strengthening program.

Have a look at this page for some info about the muscle and exercises you can do:

Bare in mind it may not have been a 'dislocation' as such, but this will at least give you some ideas about where the muscle is, what it does and what exercises you can do as these will be the same.

Good luck!
