So about four weeks ago i was playing football, and volleyed the ball, I didn't strike it cleanly and immediately felt pain in my foot. I couldn't put much weight on it but continued to hobble around eventually to continue playing in pain. So anyway, recentyl i had though that the worst of it had gone, i mean i could still feel pain when i kicked the ball, but it seemed to be subsiding. Anyway earlier today i played again and took a shot, striking it as hard as i could and immediately felt immense pain, feeling worse than what i could remember from last time.

There is no visible bruising, however i can see there is swelling.it is on my right foot. The pain is mainly down the first metatarsal from the very top of my foot and just to the left where there is a lump (which is a bone and normal as i can see it on the other foot) i had the same feeling of the whole of my lower leg aching.

about half a year ago i was studded in the middle of my first metatarsal, i played on till the end of the first half (this happened in the first 15 minutes) but i then couldn't kick a ball for about 1 month and a half. i don't know if this has caused a weakness on the metatarsal as i realised last month(before the volley injury) it left a hard lump there, however, i fear the current injury has done more than just a recurrence of the metatarsal injury as the pain is all over my right foot.

Appreciate any help :)
