I've had lower back pain come and go seemingly randomly since I was 16, but recently, I've had issues where, if I lie on my stomach, I am not able to get up. I have to roll onto my back and squirm around until the pain subsides and I can sit up.
I was in a store about 2 months ago, bent down to pick something up from the lowest shelf, and literally got stuck. I couldn't convince my body to let me stand upright, so I ended up lying on the floor to slowly straighten my back--obviously this seems odd.
Lastly, I'm quite active and can even walk on my hands if I want, but for some reason, I can't do sit-ups without someone holding my feet (and it's not that I don't have abs, it seems to be that my lower back just isn't strong enough)
So with all of that information, maybe you can five me some much needed advice, I hate feeling like im much older than I am.

Hi,

Back pain can be such a complex issue that it is difficult to give you any real advice on here, without seeing you and asssesing your back.

Have a look at these pages for some strengthening ideas, if you feel your back is weak it may be of help,

http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cybertherapist/lower_back_pain.php

The only other option is to see a back pain specialist to get assessed and see what is causing the problem.

Sorry to not be more help,

Good luck!

I am just to add what others has added previously. I am massage therapist and in order to help ease the pain when you lay on you back; put a pillow under you knees just to bend you knees slightly. This will help to relieve the muscles on you back and keep it relax.

Likewise, go and seek profesional help from a doctor or chiropractor.

Thanks,

Terry

I guess I'll bite the bullet and go see a doctor soon. Thanks to all.
