Default 12 Weeks of Lower Back Pain

I suffered an injury to my SI Joint 12 weeks ago and still have pain. I'm sure this isn't normal and something is wrong. In the beginning, I wasn't holding adjustments but it hasn't popped out in a week. Since I popped it back in, the pain has been very dull but still present. Yesterday I had an unusual flair up and the pain was immense. What's going on? I perform various yoga stretches to maintain my flexability and to keep the muscles loose. I also take OTC anti-inflamitory pills and pills to enhance joint strength. I was very active prior to this and wish to return to my normal level of activity but there is no sign of that happening anytime soon. Any help or suggestions would be great.

    Hi
Have you had professional treatment for this? I am just concerned because you said "since I popped it back in". You have to be very careful with any form of back injury and so I would recommend seeing a professional if you haven't already.

I have gone to a chiropractor 3 times since. I feel fine (very minimal pain) for about a week or two, then the pain comes back. Last week, the joint was out of place again and I was able to reset it myself. I felt ok for a week (very minimal pain) and then the pain was back again but the joint is in place.

I wrote an article regarding core strength and lower back pain- "The core is the cure". http://www.massagemuswellhill.co.uk/blog

    Hope it helps.
