Default Lower Back Ache at night......?

Ok, I am quite fit doing up to 6 hours of exercise a week eg aerobics, step, combat, circuit training, weights etc....however, I have had lower back pain at night for months now. I put it down to combat as its a lot of twisting, turning and kicking. After a weeks holiday I noticed that my back hadnt caused me problems, must have been because I hadnt been to the gym but upon arriving home...there it is again noctural back ache. SO I ordered a new firm mattress to help with the problem BUT no change???? I havnt been to the gym for 2 weeks so it cannot be the classes.

My other worry is I have the lower back ache at night along with a dull ache in the lower abdomen (bit like ache during menstrual cycle) AND its not that time of month lol.

Any ideas, comments would be really helpful.

    Cheers

You should go to your Doctor. Any persistent lower back pain which is accompanied by other symptoms should be investigated

Many doctors recommends sleeping with a pillow between your legs as a treatment for low back pain.

You should have a proper check up. Do not get late on things.
