Default Need a good back specialist or neurosergeon in BC

    Hello,
I am relatively new to BC and I am looking for a good back specialist or neurosergeon. I have been appealing WCB for the last year on my own and I need to see someone who can help diagnose my injury. I have seen a back specialist already but he was unable to read or use the program that my MRI results are stored on. I felt that this was very important so as to get a second opinion over the radioligist who initially read the results.

I have my CT scan disc, MRI disk and xray negatives. It is really important at this stage to see someone competent in reading these results as well as the physical evaluation for my appeal.

When I got the results of the CT scan the radioligist diagnosed disc buldges where as the specialist found central herniations so that has left me very wary of just the radioligists opinion.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also a referal of a good WCB lawyer in BC is really needed too

    Thankyou Chris

    Hi
I cannot help with lawyers etc.
But I think that disc bulges and a "central herniation" are the same thing. It is basically when the intevertebral disc protrudes out (bulges or herniates) and impinges on the spinal cord.
