Default neck and shoulder and upper back pain

i think i injured myself while working out in the gym. it was initially a sharp pain in the back of my head and a stiff neck when i lift weights. after 2 weeks or so, my shoulder and upper back starts to feel the tightness and whenever i tilt my head upwards i can feel the pain on my shoulder area to upper back. may i know how can i treat this injury as fast as possible?cheers.

    Hi
Rest, stretching and massage will most probably be the best treatment for you.
Rest from anything that aggravates the area (weights or other heavy lifting).
Use some of the neck and upper back stretching exercises on our stretching page:

And visit a sports massage therapist for 2-3 sessions. You will find this really helps to loosen off the muscles.
