    Cool scoliosis

Can anyone tell me if you can get a diagnosis of scoliosis from a wip-lash front and side car accident?

I am not a DR. or in the medical field, but I have a niece and a sister with scoliosis . From what I know it a congenital defect or condition and in no way caused by an accident. If you think an accident caused some back problem it isn't scoliosis. My brother suffered a severe back sprain that literally twisted his back, because the muscles were in a tight bunch on one side. Hope this helped.

Hi, adding to this. I did a back walkover 7 yrs ago when i was 15 and in pushing myself over landed on my right side which pushed my spine, creating a slight scoliosis. I had physio for a while and they seemed to think theyd corrected it. but i didnt even have another xray which im very annoyed at now. As it has flared up again and im quite worried. all the muscles are tight and its quite sore to touch. i am going back to a sports physio as soon as i can to see what can be done. hope its just muscular, and if i still have the scoliosis that it can be fixed?
