    9wks ago i dislocated my AC joint a type 3,I would like to ride my bike but i am concerned that if i fall off again i might do quite a bit of damage to my already deformed collar bone.Is there any way i can protect it.

    Hi,

    have you had a look at the ac page on here? http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cybertherapist/front/shoulder/acjoint.htm

    That can give you an idea of treatment to strengthen and suppport the joint. Also if shows a taping techniques which is excellent to give some extra support.

    Alternatively if you're not up to strapping it yourself have a look at
    http://www.return2fitness.co.uk/Supports_And_Braces/Shoulder_Supports

    for some shoulder supports. The Mcdavid 462 is the best support for your injury as it has an additional padding for the AC joint.
