Hey all,
around dec 14, 2009 I landed on my left shoulder after being thrown in jujitsu. I couldnt roll into the throw because my arm was still being held. After I landed there was an immediate pain that I kept practicing through, but then later it became worse. I could not lift my arm over my shoulder or move it rapidly or even pick up minor weight (3 lb or more?). I propped it at a right angle and held it there with my right arm and slept like that and walked like that for a matter of 3 or so weeks.
By around jan 10, the pain had been relieved except for when I did pushups and certain types of pull ups (wide grip). By jan 20, all the pain had seemingly left. I recently started going into my more normal workout routines, however while doing the pullups (around 100 a day) yielded no pain, the pushups are leaving an isolated pain after doing a couple sets. (Generally aim for around 500 throughout the day in sets of 50 and one 8 minute session of 5 sets of 75 ) the pain is right around where the end of the collarbone and the shoulder meet.
The pain isnt unbearable and its slight, but its there. I was wondering if this pain is from the injury and the injury hasnt healed properly and if I should see a doctor? or if its just because of the high increase in the volume of exercises that puts stress at that joint...
thanks for any info regarding this and sorry for making you read so much...
