Default Bicep long head tendon inflamation

    Hi guys,

wondering if anyone can help me . I am a sports massage therapist and I have a client who is a weight lifter. He has soreness in the Bicep long head tendon. I have advised him to rest the injury but he refuses to stop training!!!

What exercises should he avoid and what can he do to continue to train?

    regards
    Tracy

He should avoid any biceps work and anything else that causes him pain (either at the time or the day after training).
Ideally he does need to take at least a couple of weeks off and then return gradually as pain allows.

Definetely no bench press, shoulder press, side raises, upright rows .Probably the bench pressing thats caused the damage.I would take this as a shot across the bows and stop weight training altogether, know this from experience and 2 shoulder ops.
