    Default biceps tendonitis

Had a biceps tendonitis in Febuary this year on left shoulder, treated with cortisone and 5 months physio although about 75% improvement still getting fleeting pain in biceps brachialis and tricep. Still doing stretches and exercises with bands. IS this the best it is ever going to get or will it still take time to improve?Still feel need to be carefull as it would not take much to relapse.Have full ROM no night time pain since July.Would another cortisone settle this completely? I am 51 gave up sport after having right acromioplasty 5 years ago

    Hi
Another cortisone shot is not normally recommended as I believe that the more shots you have the higher your risk of a tendon rupture.
Keep at it with the treatment and rehab. It should still gradually improve. Its always the first part of treatment that makes the most difference and then it seems to slow up and the progress isn't as marked.
If you are not sure, you could try alternative therapies. I hea acupuncture is very good for that kind of injury.
