    Thumbs up collarbone pain

Last night while doing the vertical press I experienced a pain in my clavicle mid-way between my neck and shoulder. For a week or so before there was a pain closer to the shoulder. Last night, after the vertical, I tried to bench press, but was unable to. There also is a pain on the same side (left) shoulder blade. About 3 weeks or so ago, I started doing single sets instead of three and was able to increase the weight on all my exercizes, some as much as sixty pounds; I think this may have something to do with it. Can anybody tell me what I can do to speed healing and prevent this from reoccurring. I want to get back in the gym.

    Thumbs down : Please help!!!!

Last friday, i played rugby and i got tackled. As soon as i hit the ground i felt a really sharp pain throb on my collar bone. It hurts in one place, just before the collar bone meets the middle ( where your neck starts). I am 13 years old, just so you know. Afterwards I went to the hospital, got x-rayed. No cracks of chippings in the bone. I think it is swollen, but i really need to know the recovery time. It is tuesday today and it is still sore. Whenever i make a sudden movement or put any pressure on it, it really hurts. If i am sat still it is fine. I play football for my local team and i really can't let them down, if anyone can help me and give me a recovery time it would really help.

PS. I have never injured a bone before in my life, this injury has really upset me.

    Thanks,

    Owen.
