    Default Inferior Dislocation

last month October 2010 I fell in my back yard and dislocated my right arm , I went to the hospital and they diagnosed it as a inferior dislocation as my arm was stuck over my head . They x-rayed it and found no fractures, It was a couple of hours after arriving that my shoulder was finally reset then I was sent home. I had made an appointment with my doctor but it wasn't for 4 days I noticed that parts of my arm were numb {having a earlier incedent of nerve damage on my left arm due to a work related injury } I concluded that my ulnar nerve was damaged in my fight arm. My doctor confirmed this and said it was probably just a pinch common with dislocations.
My problem is that after a month the front area of my shoulder still aches and I am having difficulty sleeping due to discomfort. Can you sugest any exersizes that i can do to stregthen these muscles ? When I push up the upper arm muscles the ache goes away temporarily I am looking for a shoulder brace as I have seen them on the internet and figure this will help to relieve the pain , can you suggest rehab work outs ?

    Hi
The best thing you could do would be to visit a physical therapist who could design a rehab programme specifically for you and your problems.
An inferior dislocation is pretty rare and so most of the information available online is aimed at anterior dislocations (90% of dislocations are anterior).
Whilst I could suggest a general shoulder strengthening programme I think it would be better to get a more specific programme for your case.
