Default shoulder and back weak after injury

This is probably just a minor injury.

I got really angry and tried to get it out by beating the floor with a towel three days ago.

I seem to have both stretched and overused the muscles associated with my right shoulder, because I had some soreness in those muscles starting immediately and lasting for a few days (but no sharp pain and my shoulder is still in the socket).

The muscle soreness is going down, but the muscles are still weak and can't hold much weight when I try to do Pilates exercises that use these muscles.

Also the shoulder blade on that side has a greater range of motion when I'm moving my arm, because the muscles holding it in place are weakened.

    What can I do?

I'm trying to keep good posture and squeeze the muscles in my back between my shoulder blades. I'm also using hot packs and ultrasound (Sonic Relief device).

Is this likely to heal without surgery? I don't want one side of my back to be weaker than the other. I hope these muscles regain their strength.

Is muscle weakness like this normal after muscles are overstretched or used in a new way?

Have you tried sports massage? It's so effective in postural problems in this area, especially combined with the right exercises

You can also try yoga and other light exercises to strength your shoulder and back. But be sure to contact your doctor before it.
