    Default shoulder/chest/neck pain

I am a 42 year old female. I have pain behind my left breast, in the top of the left hand side of the back of my neck just to the inside of my left shoulder blade. SOmetimes the pain is also onthe top inside muscle of my left arm. A therapist told me that I have one shoulder higher than the other - but I am not convinced. Would a chiropractor help? I can't take ibuprofen. Any ideas as to what it might be (I haven;t pulled it that I can remember). I have been for breast ultrasound and all is ok.
    Thanks

    Default shoulder pain

Hi, I think you should see an orthopedic surgeon to take a look at your problem. He should be able to get more tests done to make sure the shoulder structure and the surrounding structures are fully intact. He won't necessarily do surgery, that's only if need be, but they're great for the diagnosing process. Personaly I think you might have an overuse injury in the shoulder region. You don't know when the injury happens, it just starts hurting. Just stay away from the therapist and chiropractor till you have a definitive diagnosis. Just tell the doctor all your symptoms, what hurts, where it hurts, and what makes it hurt.
I hope this helps. - Elyse
