    Default Shoulder Joint Displacement

    I damaged my shoulder joint, an ac joint separation for those who understand the terms!! Its been 3 weeks and still is quite sore if I dont take painkillers. Also I am a semi pro sports person so it is affecting my job - I was told to rest but have had to get going now and i admit it does aggravate it. After a check up I have been told it will take 6 weeks to heal and that's that. Should I pursue some private physio-will it help the healing process or will it just take time?

    Yes you should get some private physio. Especially as this is your job we're talking about, not just a hobby. These injuries do heal on their own but you are often left with a shoulder which is weaker or less flexible than before.
