    Default Sports shoulder injury

    Hi,

I dislocated my shoulder for the third time 10 days ago while coaching trampolining.
I was wondering whether there were any exercises... that i could do before i get to see a physio (up to 4 weeks!) to start strengthening it so i can get back to trampolining myself as soon as possible? Also if there was a recommended brace or taping for supporting it when i do go back trampolining?

    Many Thanks!

    Hi
Yes there are lots of exercises you can do. You need to immobilise it until it is pain free and then start to regain range of motion.
Strengthening should start with isometric (static) exercises where you push against a stationary object such as a wall.
You can find examples of all of these here:

    and here:

As for taping or supports, you can get shoulder supports online, I would recommend the LP 738:

Is there any specific routine exercise to overcome shoulder injuries? Coz there is many chances that you may come across a shoulder injury while you are doing your normal practice.

No there's no standarad routine because every shoulder injury is different. Mobility exercises may be generally the same, but its the strengthening that really varies as it depends on the particular weaknesses and extent of the weakness etc.
