    Question thoughts on pain

    Hi,
few months ago i landed on my left side with my arm pinned next to my body. I heard a crack (sort of like the crack i heard when i broke my ribs last year) between the shoulder and the neck on the left arm, but closer to the shoulder. Initailly it just burnt. It didnt really hurt until a few hours later, but then the pain didnt really last all that long (at least it wasnt the predominant pain i am dealing with ... other long term injuries.) Then the other day i was on my left side and pressure was applied downwards and that area "crunched." Since then there has been a lot of pain. Lifting the arm causes pain. Taking off / putting on bra enough pain to almost cause eyes to leak water. Unable to really put much weight on the shoulder... as in leaning on the arm, push ups, etc. However, placing my hair back in a pony tail is not too difficult. Sweeping motion is very painful. Sometimes it will shift and i can use it easier, then if it shift again i can barely lift it. Turning steering wheel smarts too. Also on the top of the shoulder where the collar bone sticks up slightly near the shoulder joint, there is a very sensitive to the touch area just behind that point. If slightest pressure applied it will send shock wave of pain down the arm and also to the neck. I will do what i have to do and block out what i can so that i can work, work out, etc, but i was wondering if someone might have an idea on what may be going on and if so is it even treatable? Every time i get injured i am usually told that if they had found the problem within the first few weeks of the injury it would be treatable, but often told it is too late for any help.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts on the issue.

    Hi
It is possibly an injury to the AC joint, between the collar bone and the shoulder blade.
    Read more about it here:

Damage to this joint is frequent with falls directly on to the shoulder.
It is treatable but you should get it checked out to make sure. You may even be offered an x-ray.
