    Default Crepitus After Broken Elbow

Broke my radius at the elbow 2 months ago skiing. Had to have a screw put in to fix bone back in correct position. Now getting a good range of movement back (can get arm almost straight and bent beyond 90 degrees). Bad news is horrible creaking when I bend arm fron straight and also when I rotate (supinate?). Surgeon says its scar tissue and may never go away. Is this normal? Should I be seeking more intervention? X-rays show the screw to be sunk below level of bone but it just sounds like a heck of a lot of friction is going on. Thanks for any reply Dave

    Dave,

Not sure on that one, if you are concerned I would take it up with the operating consultant to be honest, because they know exactly what is where and may be able to pinpoint what is causing the creps you are hearing.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help!
