Default From Elbow to the wrist

I am currently out of town for business and will not be home to see a doctor for another 2 weeks. I am trying to get an idea of to what extent I may have injured myself.

Approximately a week ago I was running and fell over one of those fold up signs. Initially there appeared to be no injury, there were no scratches and everything moved find at the moment. A couple hours later i noticed my elbow had tightened and it had become painful to move outside of a certain range. Through observation there was almost no swelling but through touch it was noticable. To touch the elbow had no pain only to a specific range of movement. After a few days the swelling went away and movement returned. The problem then came that if I stretch my arm out, at a certain point I get shooting pain down my forearm and into my wrist. At the base of my wrist the pain will stay for a couple hours and the ball of my wrist goes numb. This has me a little concerned I may have done something a little more serious.

Outside of straightening my arm to a point i appear to have full range and strength with no major pain. The pain when i straighten my arm is borderline of unbarable which is drawing my concern. Does anyone have any idea of the seriousness of this issue and if it can wait until I return home in 2 weeks? Thank You!

    Hi,

shooting pain and numbness indicate nerve damage. This may just be due to the swelling irritating the nerve or may be something more.

It definately requires a trip to the Doctors as soon as you can.
