Does anyone know what medial epicondylitis really is, and if there is any kind of treatment other than total rest for six months!
I get it from playing tennis, particularly serving. I'm not buying into the ICE thing which everyone is so quick to prescribe, because there is NO INFLAMATION, just pain right on the epicondyle itself where several tendons must attach to a small area. Thus, I don't think it's tendonitis, but more correctly TENDONOSIS, which I read involves the collegen at the attachment site?
I like to play 5 or 6 times a week, and am not willing to take an extended break. Perhaps I should go to a lighter racquet (I'm currently using a 12 ouncer)
Any suggestions?
