    Default abdominal injury

About two years ago, as I was stepping over a coffee table in my living room, I felt/heard a ripping sound that seemed to come from the lower front left abdomen. The effects of the injury are still with me. While I can't say that it is painful, it does oftentimes cause considerable discomfort. I have been to my family doctor, as well as a chiropractor, a sports medicine doctor, and others seeking a diagnosis as well as relief. The consensus seems to be that I must have torn a muscle sheath.

No one I have talked to offers any hope for curing the ailment. I have been advised to just bear with it as best I can, which is what I have been doing. However, when I saw an invitation on my sceen this evening to come to this site, I thought I might as well try once more. Anyway, my question is, is there any treatment that is worth trying, assuming that my problem is caused by the tearing of a muscle sheath/lining?

    Hi Waldo,

Thank you for venturing back to our site!

I wonder given the amount of time which has now passed, if you might have formed scar tissue in this area which is why you are still experiencing pain.

If this is the case then it might be possible to provide some relief using massage techniques to try and get the tissues moving properly again.

Certainly if it is still bothering you I would at least get it checked out and see if something can be done about it.
