    Default Back Pain

I was in a minor motorcycle accident on Saturday. I stopped at a red light and did not realize I was on an oil slick on the road until I excelled when the light turned green and my motorcycle slipped and I fell and my motorcycle fell on top of me. I have minor injuries. No one else got hurt as I fell toward the curb and not in the middle of the road luckily.

I have left sided back pain that radiates down my left leg and left arm pain. I also have a small bruise on my knee. Could I possibly hurt my nerves or muscles from my back down to my leg? I walk stiff cause my back hurts when I walk at times. I notice it more when I lay down. It hurts alot when I lay flat in bed or if I lay on my left side, it really hurts.

Back pain can definitely radiate pain into the arms of the legs. The cause of this is compression or damage to one or more nerves.

Thank you for replying. Is it too late to see a dr? I notice the left side of my back hurts when I lay on it and when I stand up for long periods of time. It si still a little swollen on my left side. Is that a muscle?

I also have muscle spasms that are on the left side of my back and on my left shoulder. Does that mean I injured a nerve or muscle when I fell?

Thank you for replying. The spasms are getting worse. The are behind my left shoulder. I think I may have hurt a muscle or nerve on the left side of my back when I fell and I am feeling the spasms behind my shoulder.
