    Unhappy back spasmmms

I have had disc problems for over ten years or more. Particularly, ruptured discs in lower back area. I am ok and lead a very actlive lifestyle. Lifting smart weights in the gym (decompression) and keeping toned. However, from time to time, I have experianced some lower back spasms. Does anyone have any advice on how to rid myself of these. I have tried many different techniques, but am in the listening position, if you know what I mean.
    Thanks.
    In pain.

My only advice would be to try having a regular deep tissue massage, say fortnightly.

Also stretching and core type work as used in pilates or yoga may be beneficial to help engage the small, deep core muscles and prevent the larger superficial muscles from over-working.
