    Unhappy knee pain

i am a spinning instructor and lift weights everyday. Recently i have been feeling odd sensations in my knees. Minimal pain but it feels as though there is a pulling from the sides and top and bottom of my knees. My knees are slightly sore to the touch as well. during teaching my class the other day, i also noticed the pulling sensation along with popping. i do not experience pain when i lift weights or do any free weight jumps. Any insight would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hi
Patella mal-tracking (or patellofemoral pain) springs to mind.
Have a look at our page and see what you think

    Thank you Heidi,

well this does sound close, however even with resting and not lifting any weights the sensations have not gotten much better. the pulling is still there and there is pain when i have my knees bent for a long period of time. when i ride my bike to and fro to class i feel my knees popping and pain under my knee and the both the inside and outside of my knees. there has been no swelling at all though so i am not sure how to speed my recovery i miss bicycling and lifting weights a lot but have ceased most of that activity due to

You need to work out what is causing your pain and correct it. most often it is a muscle imbalance problem with tight lateral quads, IT band and groin, with week medial quads and hip abductors.
Look through the additional pages on site for this injury to find suggested stretching and strengthening stuff.
