    Default Oblique injury

    Hi,

    Some advice needed - I pulled my right side external oblique by overstretching it. This was three days ago. It was fairly painful and inflamed but the worst has now gone.
    Obviously it hasn't healed yet, but is it okay for me to run while it heals? I know that most core work and any twisting or turning is out, but I'm not sure if running in straight lines would hurt it...

    I would give it just a couple of days more rest and then go for a short, gentle jog to see how it reacts. Make sure you don't push it too hard. You should then have 1-2 days rest to make sure it doesn't stir it up the next day. If all ok, then start to gradually increase.
