Default Steel plate in arm issue.

I broke my humerus bone ~3 years ago and had a stainless steel plate and 8 screws put in it to hold it together. It has never felt like it did before the accident but I kinda figured that would be the case.

For the past week or so it almost feels like it's burning inside my arm and the past day and a half it is hurting pretty bad. The burning is also worse.

I realize the best option is to go back to the Dr. for an x-ray/exam. I'm just curios if it's possible that the plate in my arm is causing some type of infection inside or maybe my body is now rejecting the plate?

BTW there is no outwardly visible sign of any damage besides the scar.

Hi. An infection this long after the injury is increadibly unlikey as is your body 'rejecting' it. Definately go back to your Doctor for an assessment and x-ray.
