    Default Wrist injury

A few years ago I had a small "accident" on an ATV. Basically, I hit the ground pretty hard while on the ATV and the handlebars transfered a hard hit upwards into my hands/wrists. Now, when I move my wrist back and forth on my right hand, it "pops" if I move it a certain way. After I had the accident, I did get x-rays on my hand but everything appeared to be okay. I was hoping it was something that would heal in time but apparently that is not the case.

I'm not really sure how to describe the location but I suppose it is my right wrist, probably a third of the way in from the thumb side. It is painful if I try to do push-ups or even shoot a basketball for awhile but isn't severe to the point that it interferes with normal day to day use. As I type this now it isn't painful at all. I plan on going to see a hand specialist but at the moment I have poor insurance and am unemployed. As soon as this changes I will go see a specialist but I was wondering if anyone has any ideas of what could be causing this and if there is anything I can do in the meantime.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi
It could be a number of things, most likely a tendon or ligament injury. Possibly even the cartilage in the wrist joint. Seeing a specialist is definately the way forward.
In the meantime, try to rest it as much as possible. Wearing a support may help.

Actually, i don't know what is the nature of your accident but to be on the safe side, try to see an MD and go for theraphy so that all will be well and healing is faster.

    Hi scoop,
I agree with wickshotstreak. I know how painful is the wrist pain is.
I will also advice you to have some therapy for your wrist injury before it goes worst.
