    Angry Achilles Tendon sharp pain

About 2 weeks ago I developed a pain in my left achilles tendon what felt just like a blister on the surface of the skin but when I would look at it there is absolutely nothing there. I play soccer regularly so I decided to play trough the pain thinking nothing of it. It got to the point where the pain was unbearable so I was forced to stop playing and jogging. Basically right on my achilles tendon right above the heel there is a small spot that stings to the touch. I can walk and run barefooted just fine. There is no pain there if I am bare footed but if I were to put on a pair of soccer cleats or any kind of shoes I cant even walk because it hurts so much when there is something that constantly rubs on the painful area. Right now when I walk around the house barefooted my achilles has rubber band feeling to it. It feels like a weird rubbing sensation back there. My problem is that I would really like to get back to playing soccer and jogging so any advice is greatly appreciated. I haven't seen a doctor yet since this seems like a small inconvenience.

    Hi
    Possibly achilles tendonitis, or bursitis.
You should go get it checked and get some treatment on it. Start stretching the calf and achilles regularly every day (provided this isn't painful). Massage, ultrasound and eccentric strengthening exercises are usually recommended.
