Heal Pain and Instability

Hello,

In my right foot heal area there's a large bone spur punching on my Achilles Tendon. This condition gives me pain, instability, and sometimes cramps. I treat it with Naproxzen, ice, and wear an ankle brace. One other think is I use custom orthothics. Is there anything short of surgery to help me? Thanks in advance for your reply.

Do you wear some decent shoes?

you can try sticking a "donut" shape felt pad on the lesion or stick some soft, cushiony material on the heel liner of the shoes.
