Default Instep pain and hand webbing pain

I am experiencing pain in my insteps and the webbing of both my hands. At times it is a burning pain. It is not always there and not worse when weight is placed on it. At the end of the day the insteps seem to be worse, when I have flat or no shoes on. Driving is proving difficult as my thumbs wrap around steering wheel. I do 2 x gym sessions per week mainly doing conditioning but no weights. I do pushups using a bar so fingers are curled around it. Has anyone ever experienced this? Does it sound like a strain - although odd that both the insteps and hand webs would be strained at the same time. I have lupus, not sure if that is relevant.

So this is in both your hands and feet?
If it were the feet I would say plantar fasciitis, or possibly tarsal tunnel syndrome.
For the hands, possibly carpal tunnel syndrome or dupytrens contracture.
You can find info on all of these conditions on the site.
I am not sure whether there could be any link between your symptoms and your lupus. If you are concerned you should speak to your doctor.

Thanks Hiedi. Yes, it is in both hands and both feet.
