    Default really sore foot

I have a really sore foot, that started randomly yesterday and got worse throughout the day. Yesterday it was only hurting when i walked on it and the more i walked the worse it got. the pain was localised to the sole of my foot on the outside between that nobbly bit on the outside of your foot and the little toe.

I went to see a nurse and they don;t know what it is.

Today the pain is more constant it is aching all the time and i am getting pain across the sole of my foot, still when i walk, it is also starting to come up onto the top of the outside of my foot. When resting i have a pain in the outside of my ankle and lower leg.

I am in training for a 10k race in 5 weeks time and very eager to get training againany help would be much appreciated as i cannot walk on it at all, yet it hurts no where to press weird!!

    Thanks

    Hi

There was no incident when it suddenly started hurting (e.g. landed awkwardly, twisted, fel etc)?

I think given that you have a race so close, I would be inclined to visit a sports injury specialist. Pain that just randomly comes on shouldn't be ignored although it is easy to do so.

Do you have any back pain? Have you had any previous injuries? Do you feel any numbness or pins and needles?

    Hi Heidi

Thanks so much for getting back to me. No there was no sudden incident the only thing i could think of was that i overdid on the Sunday night run i did. The pain was not too bad at first it got worse throughout the day.

I have no numbness ot pins and needles or anything like that, it literally only hurts when i do the walking movement mainly from when you get from the heel to going flat and pushing off again.

I have been to my local walk in centre and they are guessing it's tendonitus, and have put me on crutches till the weekend and told me to go and see a podiatrist on monday if i still can't walk after 48 to 72 hour rest.

I think i have confused the nurses because i have no pain apart from a dull ache normally and it does not hurt to touch anywhere and is not particularly swollen i just cannot walk on it.

    thanks
