    Wink Rehabilitation after foot surgery

my lower tibia (near ankle) fibula were fracture and a internal fixation was made around 10 months. A titanium pole was inserted near the kness and 4 screws were insert in the inner lower leg for fixation. I have regular exercise (at least 2 - 3 times) everyweek including swimming & gym and have visit physio everyweek. Although i have no problem for walking, but still feel stiffness and pain around the the surgery areas (the kness and the screw area), especially when i try demanding exercise e.g. running. Would appreciate if anyone could let me know what make this happen, what i could do to facilitate the rehabilitaion and how long it take for fully recovered.

    Hi
I think if you are really concerned about this then you should speak to either your physiotherapist or to your consultant. 10 months after such an injury and procedure is usually long enough for a full recovery ,although every case is different and so you need to speak to someone who really knows your situation.
