    Exclamation Right Foot Cuboid bone fracture

    I had a foot injury( ankle turn inward ) 7 weeks ago during basketball training. Next day i had a x-ray and they found no fraction and told me rest for 10 days. I wanted to have a MRI to be sure that everything is ok. MRI results showed that i have partial ruptures on my peroneal tendon. I couldn't rest properly as i had to work.In the hospital they didn't put cast or any other support.I went to private doctor and he told me it will be ok and send me to physiotherapy. After 3 weeks i still had pains and he sent me again to MRI and CT. Just the CT results showed that i have a fraction with my cuboid bone. My original pain was always from that area but they never thoughy it would be a fraction. Doctor told me that i still have edema and we can wait 1 month more and if i still have pain than he will consider surgery. He told me that he will take this piece out.

    I would like to ask if anyone has experienced cuboid bone fracture before. I am really confused as i still have pain while walking and the pain is coming from down and also up of my cuboid area. ı will visit my doc again mid of March and before i really want to learn more about this injury and how to recover.

    Here is the link to my CT results;

    Hi
    I would have thought that once the fracture was discovered that you would have been placed in a cast or walking boot to take the weight off it.
    I have no experience of this type of fracture however but fractures are less likely to heal properly if you don't rest them.
