    Default Sesmoiditis?

I have been experiencing pain in the ball of my foot for a while now. It has gotten better, but it still bothers me about 30 minutes after starting running, and my cycling shoes aggravate it too as my cleat is positioned directly beneath the ball of my foot. Is there any thing I can do to minimize aggravating it so that it can heal, without giving up my activities?

    Hi gwnorth,

have you give your feet enough rest before you started trainning again? if not try to lay off the trainning to the very minimum.

You can also try to put some gel pad underneath the ball of the feet to give some cushioning.

    take anti-inflammatory if necessarary.

Visit a podiatrist if it still hasn't got better, the podiatrist might put a felt pad that tour around the ball of your feet to provide cushion. or he/she might do some modification on the shoe inserts.

    good luck.
