    Default foot pain

As a sports therapist who works with many runners who are training for various events I do see people with similar problems. I usually start with looking at footwear, training schedules (ie has the schedule ramoped up recently), warm up and any other previous injuries which could be contributary factors. I woudl recommend that you seek advice from a local professional but with the detail listed at this stage there are a few things you can do. Look at the above, are your shoes nearing the end of their value, have you changed your routine with the seasonal change or have you significantly upp'ed your training?...it appeasr that the concern is not superficial (ie rubbing etc) so if it is deeper set but wear off after short rest periods then calf strecthes into deeper muscle compartments maybe worth considering.

http://www.sportsinjuryclinic.net/cybertherapist/front/foot/plantarfaciitis.htm a night splint is available for this if you follow the symptoms listed. Contrast bathing or even massage into the foot with a massage tool or even a golf ball could loosen any tendons which are holding on.
    best of luck.
