Hi everyone, i'm had a quick look round the website and can't pin point what my problem is, so i'm looking for some second opinions. Your help you be much appreciated.

I have recently started to play regular football, usually comprising of two games a week and one training session. In order to improve my fitness for football i've started going for runs every now and then also.

After my exercise be it football or running i experience an aching feeling in my shins. The source of this aching is not the front of the shin, but either side, about 1/3 of the way up from my ankle to my knee. If i press on the areas with my fingers i can feel the areas that are tender, this is in both of my legs. It doesn't appear to be muscular and it feels as if the aching is coming from the bone.

After a day of rest this feeling seems to subside, but occurs again after a session or a game. So i just wanted to know if anyone had an opinion on what this might be, should i be seeking medical advice and is there anything i can do? Here are a few of my thoughts;

I'm concerned that its not muscular, and perhaps a weakness in my bone. I don't want to get caught in footie and receive a break.
The aching could be caused by my leg being jolted as i run and change direction, which points to my footwear. Perhaps using some form of shock absorbing insoles may help.
The issues may actually stem from my ankle, and perhaps i need extra support.
I could above all else be doing to much. I tend to play a 5-a-side game on tue nights for an hour, training wed nights for an hour, maybe a run on Friday 30 mins, and a full game on sunday.

If anyone has any thoughts please let me know, i have been enjoying my football recent and would really like to continue. Any extra info needed please ask. Thanks.
